Woodworth students will have an unexpected guest, Mohammed Fairouz, on Friday during their World Music class. Mr. Fairouz, who is currently performing with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, contacted Woodworth music teacher, Ms. McUmber, about his desire to meet with young students in the area. During his impromptu visit, he will speak with students about his music and share his craft. This is an exceptional opportunity for our Woodworth students to hear from what BBC World News describes as “one of the most talented composers of his generation.”
