Camp Invention is back! This weeklong day camp, being held at Henry Ford Elementary, is open to all students in the Dearborn area entering grades one through six and runs 9 am – 3:30 pm starting August 1. - Children will create exciting new games and transform ordinary household items into extraordinary inventions during this weeklong summer adventure for those currently in grades k-5. Children will participate daily in five activity-oriented, hands-on modules focused on science literacy, math, history and the arts. There is also a heavy emphasis on the STEM subjects (Science, technology, engineering and math).
- Kristie Lica, a teacher at Snow Elementary School, will direct the camp and local teachers will teach the five modules. High school and college students will be hired to serve as camp counselors. The camp features a low staff-to-participant ratio of 1:8.
