M-Step:
This week marked the start of M-step Testing for our 8th grade students. We had great attendence and our students worked dilligently through the tests. 8th grade testing will continue throughout next week. 6th grade will follow, concluding with 7th grade testing. All testing will be finished by the end of May.
National Honor Society:
Wednesday night, Woodworth inducted 26 new members to it Junior National Honor’s Society. It was a great event, attended by Mariam Jalloul–Woodworth alumni, Fordson graduate, and Harvard commencement speaker, as well as Dr. Chochol–executive director of student achievement, Dr. Maleyko–superintendent, and guest speaker–Honorable Judge Turfe.
Woodworth Variety Show:
Friday Woodworth students put on an outstanding demonstration of talent for students and parents. Everything from singing, dance, stick throwing, soccer dribbling, violin, derbake, and hip hop. Woodworth students’ have definitely got talent!
