“A” Day

Purchase your planner during A2 with a pass from your teacher!
Get them before they are gone!
1) There will be Intramural Girls swimming Wednesday, March 8th at 3:00 with Ms. Gronau.
2) Congratulations to Khaled Jaradat for being recognized as the Woodworth M.S.
“Student Athlete” and being named a “Mickey Patrick Winner” by The Dearborn
Recreation & Parks Commission. Khaled will be attending the 65th Annual Sports
Award Ceremony where he will be honored with other student athletes from the city’s
middle schools. Way to go Khaled!
3) Staff vs Student Basketball Game is scheduled for Monday, March 20th from
3-4 pm in Gym A.
-To attend, students need a FULL Hornet Pride Card. Your A2 teacher will
give you a ticket.
-To play, students need a FULL Hornet Pride Card to have their name entered
into a raffle. Students from EACH grade will be picked to play.
-The list of players will be posted by Monday, March 13th.
4) Parent/Teacher Conferences will be Wednesday, March 22nd in the gym.
5) Planners, lanyards & plastic pouches are available in the main office for students to
purchase during A-2 with a pass from the teacher.
6) Door #9 will be open at 7:30am for students to get into the cafeteria. If you are at
school before the 7:50am bell rings, you must either go directly to the cafeteria and
wait where it is warm, or you wait outside. Students are not allowed to wander the halls.
7) The School Store will be open every Tuesday for all students. T-shirts are only $5 in
either grey, black, or yellow. School store items: t-shirts, pencils, erasers, granola bars,
fruit strips, water bottles, rulers, and folders. Student can see Mrs. Stevens in Rm #212
during A-2 to purchase a t-shirt on days when the store is not open.
8) Things for students to remember:
* Keep your planners open to your Hornet Pride Card during class and earn those
points!
* The March reward is Teachers vs Students Basketball
