“B” Day
Late Start Today!
1) The swim meet against Salina is being relocated to O.L. Smith.

2) There will be intramural volleyball on Thursday, March 16th from 3-4pm in gym C.

3) The PTA will have a bake sale on Friday after school in front of the office.
4) Students, If you received a parent permission slip to be pictured in the yearbook,
you must return this signed form to Mrs. Rabac by this Friday, March 17th.
Memories last a lifetime! Buy your yearbook today! The last day to purchase
yearbooks is Tuesday, March 17th.
5) The roster for the staff vs. student basketball game is posted! IF you were
selected, you will need to be dressed and in Gym A at 3:05 THIS MONDAY,
March 20th. PLEASE look for Ms. Ziegler or Ms. Keimig so we can get you
ready to play in your quarter of the game!
6) It’s that time of year again!!! NJHS will be sponsoring an exciting assembly on
March 31st!! A select group of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will have the opportunity to
participate in minute-to-win-it games!!!! In order to be selected for these games you
must have 3 or less infractions!!! Your teachers will determine who will represent the
team!! Members of NJHS will be coming to your A2 3/20-3/24 to sell raffle tickets for
a quarter. Purchase as many tickets as you would like, put your name on the ticket,
and those tickets will enter you into a drawing to PIE A TEACHER IN THE FACE!!!!!
The lucky winners’ names will be drawn at the end of the assembly!!!
7) Wednesday, in gym C, is the first practice for everyone that will be in the variety show.
The cast will include the original list following the first auditions as well as the students
who auctioned last Wednesday. Congratulations to all.
8) Dr. Seuss Spirit Week: March 27th – 31st:
Monday: “Cat in the Hat” – Crazy Hat Day
Tuesday: “Thing One and Thing Two” – Twin Day
Wednesday: “Oh, the Places You’ll Go” – College Wear and/or Career Day,
Dress to Impress
Thursday: “Fox in Socks” – Crazy Socks Day
Friday: “Purple Eggs and Ham” – Woodworth Colors
9) Staff vs Student Basketball Game is scheduled for Monday, March 20th from
3-4 pm in Gym A.
-To attend, students need a FULL Hornet Pride Card. Your A2 teacher will
give you a ticket.
-To play, students need a FULL Hornet Pride Card to have their name entered
into a raffle. Students from EACH grade will be picked to play.
-The list of players will be posted by Monday, March 13th.
10) Parent/Teacher Conferences will be Wednesday, March 22nd in the gym.
11) Planners, lanyards & plastic pouches are available in the main office for students to
purchase during A-2 with a pass from the teacher.
12) Door #9 will be open at 7:30am for students to get into the cafeteria. If you are at
school before the 7:50am bell rings, you must either go directly to the cafeteria and
wait where it is warm, or you wait outside. Students are not allowed to wander the halls.
13) The School Store will be open every Tuesday for all students. T-shirts are only $5 in
either grey, black, or yellow. School store items: t-shirts, pencils, erasers, granola bars,
fruit strips, water bottles, rulers, and folders. Student can see Mrs. Stevens in Rm #212
during A-2 to purchase a t-shirt on days when the store is not open.
14) Things for students to remember:
* Keep your planners open to your Hornet Pride Card during class and earn those
points!
* The March reward is Teachers vs Students Basketball
