“A” Day
LATE START TODAY!
1) Attention 8th Grade Students: Tonight, Wednesday, May 16th is the “Incoming 9th
Grade Parent and Student Extravaganza” at Fordson High School. You are highly
encouraged to attend this important event.
WHERE: Fordson High School Cafeteria
WHEN: 5:30 -7:00 PM
WHY: Students can sign up for fall sports, clubs, and learn about academic curriculums and how
to prepare over the summer for high school. You will also be able to pre-order a 2017-18 yearbook!
Parents will be able to meet your 9th grade Academy teachers and the Principal, learn about PBIS,
join the PTSA and learn how you can be successful in high school.
2) Come to the library and check out that book you’ve been wanting to read…
because Monday, May 22nd is the very LAST day for book checkout for this school year!
2) The last PTA/Bake Sale for the year will be on Friday, May 19th.
3) Students please be courteous and respectful to those testing throughout the building
and walk quietly through the halls.
4) Students who ride their bicycles to school are asked to park them in the designated
bike rack area behind the school. Please do not lock your bicycle to the fence or the
guard rails. Thank you!
5) Students, please continue to collect Box Tops for Education and bring them to your
A2 teacher. Each classroom should have a collection box for the Box Tops, however
you can drop them off before school to the main office if needed.
6) Door #9 will be open at 7:30am for students to get into the cafeteria. If you are at
school before the 7:50am bell rings, you must either go directly to the cafeteria and
wait where it is warm, or you wait outside. Students are not allowed to wander the halls.
