The words we use are powerful! Using words the wrong way can make people feel uncomfortable and even worse unsafe. We are very fortunate at Woodworth to have a great team of teachers, staff members, and a School Resource Officer who all work together to help our students understand the impact of the words they use.
Unfortunately, there are times when students do use inappropriate words to express their emotions. Using threatening language in school is not acceptable at any time and as a school we must take swift action to address this type of behavior. Our goal is to foster a school environment where all feel safe and supported. As a school community it is important that we work together to communicate to our students what are appropriate and inappropriate comments to make in school.
