Dear Woodworth Community,
It is my understanding there has been some conversation taking place in the community regarding a situation that occurred this week at our school. Although there are legal limitations to what can be shared, I would like to take this opportunity to provide accurate information.
The administration at Woodworth was made aware of a staff member who took part in inappropriate conduct while at work. This staff member is no longer employed by the Dearborn Public Schools and further actions were taken in accordance with district procedures and legal obligations.
The families of the students who may have been aware of this conduct have been contacted and we have also taken action to provide any needed support for the students.
I want to assure our parents that our school is a safe place for your child. I also want to assure our parents and students that the isolated actions of one individual does not in any way reflect the dedication and professionalism of the entire staff here at Woodworth.
There are times when stories can become distorted on social media or within our own community chat groups. These types of rumors can be harmful to our school and most importantly the children in our community. It is much more difficult for children to process and distinguish between fact and rumor. Please help me in working to keep rumors and gossip away from our children.
Maintaining a school environment that is focused on learning and the safety of all is of highest priority for our entire staff and we remain focused on creating a safe learning environment for your children when they are here at Woodworth.

يعد الحفاظ على بيئة مدرسية تركز على التعلم وسلامة الجميع أولوية قصوى لجميع موظفينا، وقد ظللنا نركز على خلق بيئة تعليمية آمنة لأطفالك عندما يكونون هنا في Woodworth.
