Dear Eighth Grade Parent(s)/Guardians:
You are invited to attend our Eighth Grade Promotion Ceremony on June 15th at 9:00 a.m.
Time: 9:00 a.m. -10:30 a.m (will begin promptly- please arrive on time)
Students arrive at 8:25 a.m. and will report to their 1st hour teacher
Day: Thursday, June 15, 2023
Place: Gyms A & B
Entrance to event will only be through Door #9 on Hubbard Dr.
Please join us as we celebrate our students’ transition into a new exciting chapter in their academic career. We will take this opportunity to reflect on where students are and where they have been. Due to space constraints, each student will be limited to two guest tickets. Each adult and child guest attending must have a ticket to enter the event. Tickets will be given to students on Wednesday, June 14th and will not be available the day of the ceremony. Lost tickets will not be replaced.
Please understand, this is NOT a GRADUATION- it is a promotion ceremony.
- Students must follow school dress code
- Students who are not dressed appropriately will not participate in this event.
- Limousines are not permitted at Woodworth Middle School at any time.
- Strollers are not permitted at this event.
- Balloons are not permitted at this event.
Guidelines for students dress at the promotion ceremony:
- Dress shirts and dress pants (or khakis) are appropriate for young men. Ties and jackets are optional.
- Girls should select dresses that may be worn many times and for varied, non-formal occasions. Strapless or off the shoulder dresses will not be permitted. If the dress violates the school code, please DO NOT wear it to the ceremony. It is not recommended to spend an excessive amount of money on a fancy dress for this occasion.
- If girls are unable to walk comfortably in heels, it is recommended they not be worn.
- Blue jeans or shorts are not appropriate and may not be worn.
- If you are not sure what to wear, see Ms. Rabac or Ms. Kobeissi prior to the event.
Students must be at school on time (school doors will open at 8:15 a.m.) in order to participate.
