Woodworth Middle School

Open House Success!

Woodworth’s Open House and Back to School BBQ was last Wednesday, September 13th. It was a great success! Thanks to the many families and students who joined us to kick off the school year. We enjoyed a presentation in our cafeteria led by Ms. Dirkse and Ms. Dakroub. After this whole group welcome, families broke up by grade level to greet teachers and learn more about expectations and goals for 6th, 7th and 8th graders. 6th grade families visited classrooms and met teams of teachers, and had a chance to check out the newly assigned lockers that 6th graders are learning to use.

We ended the night with an all-school BBQ back in the cafeteria. Teachers and families joined together to feast on hot dogs, chips and cookies. It was a special opportunity to build relationships together and get to know our entire Woodworth team and family.

Special BIG thanks to our many helpers- Ms. Shirley and Ms. Merlynn who cooked out food, HIVE and leadership class students who helped set up the food and distribute to families, and to our students, teachers and families who joined to make the event possible.
