This year for March is Reading month students participated in various activities during Advisory/A2 time. Each A2 teacher selected a favorite read aloud and shared it with their class. After reading and enjoying various stories, A2 classes then chose a theme for their classroom door. Students took inspiration from characters, illustrations, message and more to create beautiful doors that celebrated their class book. This was an awesome opportunity for student leadership- our kids took initiative to design, plan, and execute while working together as a team.
A special panel voted on the doors and chose a top 3- one door from each grade level. From there, A2 classes voted and chose a favorite.
The top 3 were:
Ms. Melise’s 6th Grade Team 6C A2
Ms. Rabac & Ms. Reda’s 7th Grade Team 7C A2
Mr. Pfeil & Ms. Steven’s 8th Grade A2
After our schoolwide vote, the winner is… Ms. Rabac & Ms. Reda’s A2 class from team 7C! The winners will enjoy a special bagel & juice party this week during A2.
Big thanks to PTA for providing the reward, and congratulations to all students for their hard work and beautiful doors. Please visit us during March and see the great displays!
