Woodworth 8th grade students were visited by Fordson Freshman Academy staff today.  Students listened to a presentation about what to expect when students start at Fordson High School next year.  Students also completed Course Selection sheets. Starting Monday this week, Woodworth has welcomed two Administrative Interns to our staff.  Mr. Mohammad Abdelfattah and Mr. Marwan Salamey.  Both individuals were teachers in Dearborn Schools who want to pursue opportunities in administration.  After completing a rigorous selection process, both Mr. Abdelfattah and Mr. Salamey were awarded intern positions at Woodworth for the remainder of…

Congratulations to the Woodworth Staff, Students, and Parents! “Congratulations to your school for receiving an A grade on the Mackinac Center’s newly released 2015 Elementary and Middle School Context and Performance Report Card: https://www.mackinac.org/22171.  The A grade recognition was given to the top 224, or top 10 percent of, schools ranked.  Woodworth was ranked 22nd!  

This afternoon the paramedics visited Woodworth.  One of our students was having difficultly breathing and could not catch her breath.  As a precaution the paramedics were called. The student is fine and ended up going home with family.  We are fortunate to have such responsive support services in Dearborn!

Congratulations to Woodworth Students!  The Academic Games Super Tournament finished today, and ALL participants came back bearing ribbons and trophies.   Woodworth placed 2nd overall in the regular season.  Five students placed in the Top 25 (out of 150) in the regular season.  Well done Hornets!
