Congratulations to the Woodworth Staff, Students, and Parents! “Congratulations to your school for receiving an A grade on the Mackinac Center’s newly released 2015 Elementary and Middle School Context and Performance Report Card: https://www.mackinac.org/22171.  The A grade recognition was given to the top 224, or top 10 percent of, schools ranked.  Woodworth was ranked 22nd!  

This afternoon the paramedics visited Woodworth.  One of our students was having difficultly breathing and could not catch her breath.  As a precaution the paramedics were called. The student is fine and ended up going home with family.  We are fortunate to have such responsive support services in Dearborn!

Congratulations to Woodworth Students!  The Academic Games Super Tournament finished today, and ALL participants came back bearing ribbons and trophies.   Woodworth placed 2nd overall in the regular season.  Five students placed in the Top 25 (out of 150) in the regular season.  Well done Hornets!

Yesterday Woodworth students were able to participate in a pilot program called Google Expeditions.  This was an exciting opportunity for our students.  They were able to “visit” places around the world through Google.  You will notice in the pictures that students are holding what look like goggles, this is how students viewed the different places.  

Woodworth PTA is hosting a Scholastic Books Book Fair Tuesday, December 8-11.  Students have all received fliers and information.  Students will be able to visit the book fair during school hours with their classroom teachers. This is  a great opportunity for our students and Woodworth families!
